Preincarnation Appearance:
The biggest "non human" things are: his long black claws, razor sharp teeth, his green hair, pointed ears, and a (hidden) tail.
Any differences:
Amaimon is obviously human in this au. Satou is still a slouchy, lazy teenager with tired droopy eyes, but that's about it. He's of Japanese descent, with black hair and brown eyes. He has bad posture, bites his nails, and doesn't care much about personal hygiene.
Preincarnated History:
Amaimon is the son of Satan. He's the eighth child, and the seventh strongest demon in Gehenna (or hell.) We don't know how old he is, but it's at least 1,000 years. Probably more than that, considering Christian mythology. In Ao no Exorcist, we see him as a young teenager for the first time, speaking to Mephisto about Rin and whining about his older brother and father caring so much about him. His first real appearance and role is when he confronts Rin in the amusement park and they fight. He steals Rin's sword, but eventually gets chased off by Shura. Again, we see him whining to Mephisto up in his private room while eating sweets (constantly) and gross fried foods like chips and takoyaki. When the Exwires go camping for a mission, Amaimon decided to infiltrate them by possessing Shiemi with Chuchi eggs. The parasites infect her and he's able to control her, leading Rin to leave the protective circle and go after them.
He controls Shiemi into agreeing to marry him. When the others go after them, Konekomaru accidentally sets off his flare and burns the tip of Amaimon's hair. Shima laughs at him and he slams him into a tree, breaks Konekomaru's arm, and nearly strangles Bon. All of this eggs Rin into using his demonic powers in front of his friends and he and Amaimon fight. Mephisto stops them eventually, and when he tries Amaimon punches him in the stomach. Angry at his little brother, he punishes him by banishing him into his Kuchen Cuckoo Clock. In the anime, Amaimon ends up transforming into a larger demon form and attacking the council. His human vessel is put down and he's eventually seen again throughout the rest of the anime as a green hamster. This doesn't happen in the manga. Much later on, instead, we see him with Mephisto again ready to fight with Rin as usual. He wins their fight this time and Mephisto sends Rin back to school.

Reincarnated, Satou is Rin and Yukio's full brother, rather than half. Their father, a pastor, married a half American woman and as their first child, Satou was spoiled considerably until the twins were born when he was about five years old. As a baby, when his mother was weaning him, Satou suffered severe infant separation anxiety and this has persisted throughout his life. Not helped by his younger brothers's existence, he holds a bit of contempt for all of them. Because of this, though he was already of age, Satou moved to California with his family when their father transferred to a branch of the church there. He finished his last year of high school in Japan, just barely, and has worked as a (very bored) assistant youth pastor since then in his father's church. He doesn't really like it, always having found religion boring despite his parents, but it's easier than finding a real job. Because of his anxiety disorder, the mostly stress free job is perfect for him and his parents understand that, especially their psychologist mother. Because he finished high school in Japan, his English is just a little better than Rin's. Passable.
However, when Rin runs away to live in the east coast, their parents send Satou after him as his older brother, hoping he can talk him out of staying there when angry phone calls don't work. He found Rin after a couple of phone calls back and forth with their father, and finally ended up getting a small apartment with money wired from their family to stay, as Rin is still a minor and otherwise they'd be sleeping rough. Satou would like to go home, but until Rin consents he's stuck there. He doesn't have enough willpower to drag him home.
Satou has a variety of the same habits as Amaimon does in canon, like biting his nails and eating constantly. He's less stressed when he has something in his mouth, be it his bitten bloody fingers or a stick of gum or candy. He's had this problem since he was a child. Due to a fast metabolism though, the over eating hasn't caused much of a health issue. To help break him of his anxiety and give him something that could rely on him rather than him relying on others, Satou's parents got him a puppy for graduating. He loves it to death. This mirrors his golem familiar in canon named Behemoth.
First Echo: What caused their first Echo, and what did it give them? Players may choose events from the timeline or a canon recurrence. Keep these Echoes simple, but meaningful, and keep in mind that returned effects/objects caused by canon recurrences must be directly related to the event giving them back. Amaimon is hyper focused. If he doesn't have something to take interest in, he complains about being bored insistently until it's over. This happens a lot, and usually results in him throwing a tantrum, wanting to murder someone (literally,) or destroying things of his older brother's until he gets something better to do. This can mostly be seen in the omakes and his brief cameo appearances in episodes. He stomps around town and even ends up chewing on and eating one of Mephisto's pink Play Station controllers. He's destructive by nature. He chews his nails and his candies and candy wrappers and his golem familiar Behemoth's horns and body. As a side character, this really hasn't been that expanded on but from how he whines and demands attention these are definitely signs of stress when he's not getting what he wants. He dislikes being away from his older brother's side, asking him to come home to Gehenna over and over again. He also is incredibly docile when Mephisto lets him out of his cuckoo clock to see Rin again, implying he'd been in there, alone, for that long amount of time. As soon as he's allowed to fight Rin, he does it with all he's got. It's obvious that his need for attention is much like a child's: he whines and fights until he gets attention and eventually, if ignored long enough, he starts to shut down.
